Recycle Your Batteries and CFLs

Put your batteries and Compact Fluorescent Light bulbs in a clear plastic bag :
  1. Put them on top of your recycling bin  - not in the bin - for garbage collectors Green Waste (see their recycling guide) or
  2. Take them to the Portola Valley Hardware Store (located at the corner of Alpine and Portola Roads)
If you go further afield, you can take your light bulbs to IKEA.
Whole Foods will also take items such as batteries for recycling (depends on the store).
